NUNC Capital today announced the appointment of Admiral (Ret.) Rob Bauer, former Chair of the NATO Military Committee, to its Advisory Board. His appointment underscores NUNC Capital’s commitment to building strategic Defense capacity and advancing technologies that deliver effect for allied nations. Together with Major General (Ret.) Theo ten Haaf, the Advisory Board now brings together two of the Netherlands’ most respected defense leaders.
Admiral Bauer served as Chair of the NATO Military Committee from 2021 to 2025, advising the Alliance’s highest decision-making body on strategic and operational matters. Previously, he was the Chief of Defense of the Netherlands (2017–2021) and Vice Chief of Defense (2015–2017). Over his more than four-decade career with the Royal Netherlands Navy, he led international cooperation efforts and commanded counterterrorism operations in the Mediterranean Sea and the Horn of Africa, bringing deep insight into multi-domain operations and allied interoperability.
