NUNC Capital appoints two new board members to Accelerate Growth in Defense Technology Investment

Joris van Dijk (COO) and Ewout Wegman (CFO) join defense technology investment fund Amsterdam

NUNC Capital BV has announced the appointment of Joris van Dijk as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Ewout Wegman as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to its executive board. Founded in 2013 by CEO Bram Oostvogel, NUNC Capital has successfully established a portfolio of companies operating in critical areas such as advanced materials, unmanned systems, strategic sourcing & supply and mission-critical software. These strategic appointments mark a new significant milestone in NUNC Capital's development, reflecting its ambition to accelerate and professionalize the fund's expansion in the domain of defense and dual-use technologies.

Joris van Dijk, a seasoned executive with over two decades of leadership experience in executive and non-executive positions, brings a proven track record in driving growth and transformation. Van Dijk has held key management positions at Featherdown, Feyenoord Rotterdam, Madurodam and the Dutch National Lottery (Staatsloterij). Van Dijk holds a law degree from Utrecht University and has further honed his professional skills at THNK School of Creative Leadership and Harvard Business School. In his role as COO and deputy CEO, van Dijk will be responsible for overall operational support and supervision of NUNC Capital's portfolio companies.

Ewout Wegman, a veteran private equity investor and financial expert, brings over two decades of experience in the financial sector. Wegman brings a wealth of knowledge in deal sourcing, financial structuring and value creation for investment companies. His career includes a long-standing partnership at 5square Committed Capital, where he has been instrumental in investing in rapidly growing and changing companies since 2008. Wegman's educational background, including a degree in Business Management from the University of Groningen and studies at Aix-Marseille University, complements his practical experience. Wegman's appointment at NUNC Capital BV is expected to bring strategic financial leadership and innovative approaches to capital raising and corporate finance activities.
